County Fairs and
Home Shows

Pioneer participates each year in the county fairs and home shows in our major service area. The Pioneer booths at these events provide educational materials and demonstrations about energy conservation, electric safety and many other energy related topics. We also sponsor contests and purchase livestock at each fair.

Farm Science Review
Because Pioneer, like most other electric cooperatives, started in the 1930s when farmers needed access to electricity, we find it important to stay in touch with our roots by sponsoring and participating in Ohio's Farm Science Review each September. At this event, individuals and companies involved in the farming industry can learn about the latest technologies available to improve production and efficiency in the industry.

Speakers Bureau
Pioneer believes education is key to making a difference in our community. That's why we are always available at events or meetings to present information about cooperative history and philosophy, deregulation and the electric industry, energy efficiency and conservation, electrical safety and geothermal heating and cooling. If you would like us to speak to your group at an upcoming meeting or event, please contact us.

Other Commitments
Pioneer makes a continuous effort to stay in touch with the communities we serve by participating in groups such as local Chambers of Commerce, Arts Councils and the Economic Development Council. In addition, we often sponsor youth sports teams during summer months.
