
Requirements
for New Members
- Complete membership
application and return to Pioneer Electric Cooperative.
- Upon
receipt of the membership application a credit score is initiated to determine
if a security deposit or co-signor is required.
- One
of the following must be completed:
- Pay Security Deposit
$150.00 for non-electric heat
$250.00 for electric heat
Deposits are
refunded, plus interest, following 12 consecutive "on-time" payments
- Acceptable Credit Reference Requirements
Reference
from a utility where service was maintained for the previous 12 months or longer
in the person's name who will be the member
Reference will indicate good credit
standing with utility (three or less late payments, no returned check items
and no non-pay disconnects)
- Acceptable Co-Signor Requirements
Co-signor must come to office to sign form
Co-signor must meet 1 of the following
requirements:
If the co-signor is a Pioneer
member they must have a good credit rating with Pioneer
If
the co-signor is not a Pioneer member we will a run credit score report on
them after informing potential co-signor
that
a credit score report will be done
When
the above requirements have been met and the application is complete, the existing
electric service can be connected in your name the following work day.
