Pioneer reserves the right to discontinue service on reasonable notice for the following reasons:
- Non-payment of bill or any other indebtedness
- Entry to its meter or meters is refused, or if access is obstructed or hazardous
- Rules and regulations of the Cooperative are violated.
Requesting Disconnection
If you will no longer require service at a location or are moving off of Pioneer lines, please contact our office as soon as possible to arrange to have the service disconnected and a final reading taken. At this time we will ask for a forwarding address to mail your final bill and to keep on file for your capital credits.
Disconnection of Service for Non-Payment
If your service was terminated at your location, you may get your service reestablished by bringing your account current or completing a payment agreement in the office.
If a Pioneer employee must make a trip to collect or disconnect service on a delinquent account, the member will be charged $40 for the trip. If the service is disconnected, the member must make payment of the delinquent amounts owed plus the $40 trip charge and an additional $40 reconnection fee in order to reinstate service. This payment must be received at either of the Pioneer offices prior to 3:30 p.m. for reconnection of service the same day, schedule permitting. If the schedule does not permit or if payment is received after 3:30 p.m., reinstatement of service will be made by the close of the following business day. There are no after-hours reconnections for service that has been disconnected for non-payment.
