Annual Meeting - Cooperative Spirit Day

One member has one vote!
One of the unique benefits of being a member-owner of an electric utility is the ability to have a role in the operation of the company. Cooperative Spirit Day is perhaps the most direct means the membership has to be active cooperative members. Prior to Cooperative Spirit Day you will receive a ballot in the mail for you to vote on county board members and Board of Trustees. Complete the ballot and drop the ballot in the mail before the deadline to make sure your vote counts. Exercising your right to vote for those who direct Pioneer’s business demonstrates your concern for and your investment in the Cooperative. Each member has equal representation within Pioneer without regard to the size or number of service accounts he/she has. One member has one vote!

Don't forget to vote!

Exercising the right to vote for those who direct Pioneer's business demonstrates our members' concern for their investment in this unique business system--so when the time comes, remember to sign and mail your ballot (no member or employee ever sees your signed ballot).

Annual Update given at the Meeting

Because Pioneer is a cooperative, owned by you and our other member-consumers, it is necessary and desirable to have a means of giving you an annual update on the business. Each year, we encourage you to attend Cooperative Spirit Day (Annual Meeting). The members you voted for will be announced and sworn in at the meeting. In addition, the Board and management give reports of the financial and operational status of the Cooperative for the previous year and a preview of where Pioneer Electric Cooperative is heading in the future. Any other business that requires a vote of the membership takes place at Cooperative Spirit Day.
