Despite their beauty, trees can be a hazard to providing reliable electric service. Each year expensive and unnecessary outages are caused by falling trees or by limbs coming in contact with power lines or transformers.

Pioneer conducts a year-round line clearance and maintenance program to provide safe clearance, fewer power interruptions and fewer intrusions on member property. This program is conducted in cooperation with state and local authorities and you, our members.

Planting Trees Away From Power Lines
Taking care of trees and limbs before they become problems is one thing Pioneer does to ensure good service and hold costs down. You can help, too, by planting new trees away from power lines. Any tree, brush or obstacle in close proximity to the electric lines should be reported to Pioneer at once. We will be happy to assist in trimming limbs or removing trees.
