Custom Lighting Program

COMMERCIAL & INDUSTRIAL CUSTOM LIGHTING PROGRAM

Buckeye Power has partnered with Pioneer Electric to help reinforce the importance of energy efficient lighting upgrades.
This C&I custom lighting program provides a rebate based upon the number of watts reduced when replacing old lighting with energy efficient lighting.

Custom Lighting Program Qualifications

This program is applicable for commercial and industrial business facilities only. Residential applications are not eligible.
*Pre-approval is required.

To qualify, lighting at the facility must be used a minimum of 1,800 hours per year.

Rebate is calculated at the rate of $1 per watt reduced based upon lamp wattages (not fixture wattage). Rebate may not exceed fifty percent (50%) of project cost (excluding labor), up to a total maximum rebate of $25,000.

Projects must be completed by December 31, 2020.

After project is complete, Pioneer will do a site visit to the facility to verify installation.

*Applications should include contractor's detailed quote with project cost estimate and include information on new lighting
(lamp manufacturer/model number, wattage, etc.)

Additional Guidelines

Additional Guidelines:

All projects must be either a retrofit lighting installation at an existing facility or an LED lighting installation for either a new construction facility or a new addition to an existing facility. Program is not applicable for installation of additional lighting in an existing facility.

Re-lamping of existing fixtures is allowable for rebate ONLY if it includes a technology upgrade. (e.g., incandescent lamp to CFL; fluorescent lighting to LED). Re-lamping to a lower wattage of the same general type of bulb is not applicable for this program.

Existing equipment must be operational when pre-approval application is submitted.

All equipment must be new. Used or rebuilt equipment is not eligible.

All projects must comply with applicable federal, state and local laws and building codes.

Only one lighting incentive will be granted for each facility per rebate period.
