Buckeye Power has partnered with Pioneer to help make the cost of a professional third-party energy audit more affordable.
Commercial & Industrial Energy Audit Program Guidelines
Businesses eligible for the Energy Audit Program include commercial and industrial businesses, local government, not-for-profit and private institutions, colleges and universities, and K-12 schools served by the cooperative.
Qualifying businesses may be applicable for reimbursement of up to 50 percent (50%) of the cost of a professional energy audit for their business, up to a maximum of $2,000 from Buckeye Power, and an additional 25 percent (25%) of the cost would be covered by Pioneer.
There is an additional $3,000 reimbursement (maximum 50 percent of the project cost) for electric energy savings projects recommended by the audit. Improvements must be installed by or before December 31, 2020.
The audit proposed must be done by a professional auditing or engineering firm. (This cannot be done by staff of either the cooperative or the company requesting the audit.) The audit is not restricted to be implemented by any specific auditing firm, but it is advised to select an auditing firm with prior experience in implementing audits on similar businesses.
There is a pre-approval process. Please contact Pioneer before an audit is completed.
Audits are restricted to one audit per business facility within a five-year period.
Guidelines and benefits subject to change.
