Georg Hohenstein, a leader lineman at Pioneer Electric, celebrated 50 years of dedicated service on Feb. 10, 2019.
Hohenstein was hired as a lineman trainee in 1969. In April 1973, he was promoted to first class lineman, and within four years, he was working as a lineman in charge.
He showed his dedication to Pioneer by temporarily filling in the maintenance foreman position in 1978.
“Georg is loyal, well-respected, self-motivated, and believes in doing the right thing — every single day,” says Steve McClay, manager of safety and construction.
Hohenstein became leader lineman in May 1988. His current responsibilities include overseeing contractors, managing contractor materials, aiding staking technicians during the design phase, leading outside crews and accessing damage during major storms, and assisting with warehouse duties.
