Residential Rates

Residential Rate Schedule

Effective June 1, 2016

Applicable to all single phase users for a residential home, barn equipment, grain bins, grain drying equipment, dairy operations equipment, shop equipment, portable trailers, house trailers, churches, mobile homes or other temporary housing units, and other increased uses of power metered through one meter, requiring a maximum transformer capacity of 50 KVA, as long as proper service voltages can be maintained on the company's electric system without impacting other consumers of energy. 

In the event that a consumer who is served by this rate schedule desires to serve their home and a qualified service (as described above) from the same transformer, the maximum transformer requirement shall be 75 KVA; the consumer will still qualify for this rate schedule after satisfying requirements in the Cooperative’s line extension policies.

This rate is also applicable to non-seasonal commercial users for all uses meeting the following requirements:

  1. Single phase service
  2. Maximum line transformer size of 37.5 kVA

 

Monthly Rate

Availability Rate: $42.50 per month

Distribution Charge: $.03130 per kWh

Load Management Discount: - $1.00 per month

Water heater load control devices will be installed by Pioneer at the request of the consumer.  Availability is limited to non-seasonal consumers using electric water heaters with minimum capacity of fifty (50) gallons or greater.

WHOLESALE POWER COST ADJUSTMENT RIDER

All kWh sold under this tariff shall be subject to a Wholesale Power Cost Adjustment (WPCA) in accordance with Rider WPCA.

KWH TAX RIDER

All kWh sold under this tariff shall be subject to the kWh tax as mandated in Section 5727.81 (A) of the Ohio Revised Code, according to the charges listed in the kWh Tax Rider.

  • Up to 2,000 kWh = $.00465/kWh
  • Between 2,000 and 15,000 kWh = $.00419/kWh
  • Over 15,000 kWh = $.00363/kWh

MINIMUM CHARGE

The minimum monthly charge under the above rate shall be the applicable monthly service fee.

TERMS OF PAYMENT

The above rates are net, the gross rates being an additional 7% of the past due balance.  However, the gross rates shall not be less than $1.00 in excess of the net rates. Members shall pay their bills by the due date.  In the event the bill is not paid by the due date, the gross rate shall apply.  Mail payments shall be credited as of the date received by Pioneer.

MINIMUM ANNUAL CHARGE FOR SEASONAL SERVICE

Consumers requiring service during and not to exceed nine months per year must guarantee a minimum annual payment of twelve times the minimum monthly charge determined in accordance with the foregoing section, in addition to a disconnect/ reconnect fee of $60.00 per trip. For seasonal cottages, community halls and non-residential farm users using 10 kVA or less and using less than 12,000 kWh a year, an annual minimum of $510.00 shall be paid in advance.  The total kWh used during the year will be billed at the end of the year.  When the deposit is consumed, the member will be billed for the balance.
